Kalimpong Park Hotel

Kalimpong Park Hotel, once known as Dinajpur House, the former summer residence of the Maharaja of Dinajpur is a hotel with character, situated on a viewpoint, 1 km. uphill from the downtown area.

The Orchid Retreat

The Orchid Retreat is a family operated Home Hospitality Guest House. We are situated in Kalimpong, in the Darjeeling Himalayas. We provide simple and clean lodgings in serene surroundings with wholesome home cooked meals.

The Orchid Retreat started operations in 1995 with two cottages built in the garden area of our flower nursery, Ganesh Mani Pradhan & Son. We did not have any formal background in the hospitality trade but in a region where hospitality is a way of life it was not difficult establishing norms on how to run our facility. Early on we decided that we would project our facility as a Retreat for guests who would like to take up lodgings and get away from the daily grind. Hence, there are no telephones, intercom sets or T.V. in the cottages and rooms.
