Unspoilt, unexplored and in stark contrast to the urban jungle that Mussoorie has become, Dhanolti is as close to nature as can be. Rows of Deodars, vast green meadows and a gentle cool breeze greets you about 30 km from Mussoorie beyond Landour. It can be a day trip or better still overnite sojourn at this beautiful country side. Treks, pony rides along fruit orchards and water streams appearing from nowhere can keep you busy as there is no mall for shopping or videogames. Hotels are few but have all the facilities including hot water and cable TV for those who care. Dhanaullti also provides excellent  views of the snow capped Himalayan ranges.You can go directly to Dhanulti by taking a right turn about 8 km before reaching Mussoorie and then doing another 30 km or so on a 'not so bad' road.

From Dhanaulti one can take a day trip to Surkhunda  Devi about 07 kms. away. One has to trek for about 2 kms. to a height of about 3000mt. to reach a very revered religious place for the locals, dedicated to Goddess Parvati, as it is believed her head fell here after she became a sati. The place also provides a 180 degree view of the mountain ranges from the top. 

Where to Stay:-

Budget hotels are available at Dhanolti which lack even in basic facilities like power back up, clean rooms and restaurants. It is sad that such a beautiful place has no proper hotels to stay. Some camps may be available around Dhanolti during summer.

Surkanda Devi Temple is situated 3000 mt. high from sea lable, Surkanda is the form of Devi Parvati, this temple is famous in the Garhwal, the view of outer Himalaya range majastic from here, Nanda Devi Peak, Chokhamba peak, Shivling etc. view from here.

2, Bhuwneswri Devi Ashram:-

Only 02 kms. from Surkanda Devi.
